him and Co-Producer John Dudley.
Q: What is your
background in documentary filmmaking?
Although we’ve worked on many
projects together over the years, this is our first
Documentary project.
Q: Briefly, what or
whom is your documentary film about?
Demolition Derbies! It's a movie
not just about car crashes, but about the drivers, pit
crews, and organizers of these events.
Q: What led you to
create this doc?
We originally were working on
several movie concepts, most of which were independent
feature film projects, but eventually settled on a
documentary as our next project.
Q: What kind of
obstacles were there to overcome while producing the film?
Our biggest hurdle was the Post
Production workflow. Since it was shot in HD, we needed to
edit in HD and output to either HD or SD. While this may
sound simple, we encountered many technical challenges along
the way that had to be overcome.
Q: Current projects?
I just finished a screenplay that
we are currently evaluating as our next movie project.
